well, stats never lie. Man Utd never pass the stage where they have a deficite on the first leg. Remember the 4-3 wins against Real Madrid, and the 1-1 draw with Mourinho’s Porto. we never get he job done in the second leg at home when we’re trailing from the first leg. and after the defeat by Portsmouth in the league last weekend, things seem a lil bit dodgy and gloomy in the United camps…

again, it was just a phase and the Red Devils will spur to the occasion, just as Sir Alex said, “We will rise again,”. its just what great teams do.

MAN UTD 7 - 1 ROMA

Man Utd played like a devil possesed. Carrick open the tally, by scoring a beautiful quick shot, followed by Smith welcoming back goal, a well poach goal. Rooney made it 3-0 with a tap in goal from a cross provided by Giggsy. Ronaldo put one more with a sweet strike to the left of Roma’s goal. and the theatre really eruptted with jubilant fans singing all over. 4-0. the scoreline for the first half. Roma looked defeated and mezmerized by United performance.

Second half, Sir Alexs walked towards the dug out, spurring the crowd to make noise for his team. and the theatre again erupts with plauds and cheering. Ronaldo scored number 5, easy tap in effort from a beatiful low cross from Giggsy. Carrick scored his second of the night with a beatiful shot struck to the top left hand corner of Roma’s goal, even the best goalkeeper in the universe couldnt do anything with that shot.

the crowds burst into plauding and kept the team going, with every touch the United players got, the crowd plaud and cheered. Man Utd are like kittens playing with a small mice, toying. the atmosphere was so thrilling, even when Roma scored, the fans claps and cheered. Evra who’ve been missing some action because of injuries also scored the last goal for United. 7-1.

Carrick, Giggsy, Ronaldo, Rooney, Fletcher, Heinze, and Smith, should be praise for their effort. so does the back four and van Der Sarr…

the only concern for tonight was the injury on O’Shea, and Ferdinand.

magnificent job well done. i feel like we’re the champions of europe, no no, champions of the world that night. i thought the 4-1 win against Blackburn was the highlight of the season, but now, i give it to this magnificent killing of the romans. but i guess, i maybe spoke too soon. there’s more to come.
