why so many new bands and artist doing cover songs nowdays? if its for underground event, i do understand cause this kind of band lack of own material, but why the hell mainstream bands and artist do so fucked up cover version songs? no got originality ah?

i dont mind if the doing of the cover song is good, like Amy Search’s SUATU MASA album, that was top notch, quality and Amy at his best. some band doing cover version of old songs, and the latest i’ve heard on the radio (not so often listen to radio) is defgabce doing a sudirman song. what the fuck? discuss it with a few frens, and found out there’s even a cover of Ali Setan Theme song, i dont know the title but i do know the original one was done by Sheila Majid, but seriously, it’s seriously dumb taking a classic like that, and butchered it.

some classics cannot be redo. its perfect staying just the way they are. dont mess with whats not broken. but if you really wanna do it, change it with a lil dignity, but not entirely re arrange completely into a different song. seriosuly, if u wanna do it, do it with originality without damaging the original products.

try that for a change. and i’m not suprise if there were going to be covers of all the P Ramlee songs after this by bands that want to be famous quickly and get fresh nookie.
